Here, are the well talked about NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils you may have heard on YouTube or around the web. These are very versatile as they can be worn by themselves or used as a base to make bright eye shadows stand out. They are available in 28 shades, the shades above are Milk, Black Bean and Purple. These are very pigmented but they crease very badly if used alone, although the creasing is significantly reduced with the use of an eyeshadow base.

Sydney IMATS 2011

For those of you who don’t know what IMATS is... IMATS is the International Make-up Artist Trade Show that travels the world giving normal people like us the opportunity to buy a whole bunch of overseas brands such as Makeup Forever, Ben Nye, Mehron and MAC at discounted prices!

In a nutshell, IMATS is a big makeup expo which took place at the Sydney Convention Centre on the 25th and 26th of September.

 Recommendations:
  1. Go with a friend - so you can split up and buy each-others items while the other waits in line because not all stalls have EFTPOS and some (MUFE) write receipts BY HAND!!!
  2. Get there early because there will be a line!
  3. Pre-order your tickets online (They are cheaper and your ticket is guaranteed, $30 Online vs. $42 After Pre-sale)
  4. Take a bottle of water because it does get hot
  5. Make sure you have a list of things you want so you don't get distracted by all the pretty make-up (Not on your list)
  6. Wear flats - it will take you at least 2 hours to get around all of the stalls
  7. Take cash!!
  8. Don't buy on first round - Walk around once and then buy on second round because someone else might have it cheaper!
  9. Visit MUFE, Inglot and MAC first because they are the busiest all day...
  10. Go for the one day if you just want to buy make-up, go for two days if you want to see the make-up artists do their thing.
This is ALWAYS never mentioned in blogs about IMATS = BUDGET
2011 was my first IMATS and I spent $450

Hope you enjoyed this post

Hi Everyone!!!!

My name is Annalise and I started this blog because there aren't that many Australian blogs out there that get it right when it comes to all things beauty!
I will do my best to provide you with in-depth reviews, comparisons and swatches on both drug-store and high-end products.
